Social media being directly targeted by the same "hacker" Security.I'm afraid that when the time comes and my reseller kills off my G-Suite account and my Gmail is deleted, it might actually remove everything from my Outlook too (which is O365). It's crazy how they are talking to each other. The only Google stuff on my computer is Chrome stuff. I searched up and down my registry for anything Google related and all I found was Chrome stuff. I don't understand how on earth these two accounts could even remotely talk to each other (other than an outbound email from my Gmail account). If I send a test email from my Gmail - obviously, I'll see it in my Outlook (since outbound still works on Gmail), but I also see it in my Gmail. If I send an email to myself from my Outlook - I get it in my Outlook. You guessed it - it was deleted from my Outlook too. One more test: I found an email that is in my Outlook (O365) and my Gmail. If I create a test folder in my Gmail, which is non-functioning and just sitting there collecting dust now - how on earth is that syncing with my Outlook - when my Outlook is brand new (downloaded from when I log into ) and my email is from O365. Wait.how they did get into my Outlook now? My outlook is pointed to O365.
Ok, they show up in my Gmail as expected. Let's try this: I created two folders: Test-2 and Test-3. How can that be? How can I receive email into my Gmail account when my MX record points to my O365? That's odd. I saw 3 spam emails in there from just the other day. Last week, I logged into my G-Suite Gmail just to poke around and whatever. No G-Suite sync app or even google drive. The only google thing I have my computer now is just Chrome. My G-Suite is still active (as my reseller will just kill it off when it comes time for renewal and I don't renew).Īll my DNS records point to Office 365 services, including my MX records. About 6-7 months ago, I switched from using the G-Suite (google services with my own domain) to Office 365.
